And while the Gig closed a few months ago\, Myrtle & Cypress—whose original location is a popular café in Gifford Park—opened in its place. So we’re excited to check it out!\n\nMyrtle & Cypress serves\, coffee\, tea and some tasty pastries.\n\nParking is available in the Omaha Conservatory of Music lot.\n\nEveryone is welcome and encouraged to come\, no matter if you are a beginner\, a native French speaker\, or somewhere in between. C&C member Ryan Foehlinger will be in Chicago on Tuesday\, July 16th\, and thought “why not try hosting an event!”\n\nThis event will be taking place Tuesday\, July 16th\, at 4:30 at Venteux Brasserie at 224 N Michigan Ave in downtown Chicago\, where the happy hour menu offers reasonable food and beverage options.\n\nCafe et conversation (out of Omaha\, NE) offers a casual\, low-key\, and non-judgemental weekly meet-up to practice your French. All levels welcome!\n\nI (Ryan) am super excited about the idea of hosting an event in a different city! Omaha folks- if you know anyone in Chicago who might be interested\, let them know! Blue Line sells coffee\, tea and hot chocolate as well as some pastry items. We can also bring in our own wine. One of their baristas may be making some French food for us\, as well.
